How to Configure and Manage Custom Fields

Revenue.io supports displaying custom Salesforce fields in RingDNA. Learn how to configure and manage these fields within the Admin Console.

  1. Log into the Admin Console at app.revenue.io. Locate and click the Integrations section.

  2. Within the Integrations picklist, go to the Salesforce tab.

  3. Click Fields to add or manage custom fields.

  4. Find the Salesforce Object and click the arrow icon to expand.

  5. This opens a panel showing all fields currently used in your RingDNA Communications Hub.

  6. To add custom fields, click the Add Field button.

  7. Use the dropdown menu to select the field you want to add.

  8. You can also use the search bar to quickly locate specific fields.

  9. Define which Salesforce Profiles can view and edit each field. Start by selecting the View checkbox.

  10. Once View is selected, you can also check Always Visible and Editable depending on the profile’s permission set.

  11. Allowing editing gives users flexibility to manage data directly in RingDNA.

  12. Mark a field as Required to ensure complete data collection.

  13. Click Save to confirm your changes.

  14. To modify a custom field, click the three dots in the Actions column.

  15. Select Edit.

  16. Adjust the table settings to define which profiles can view, edit, or require the field.

  17. Click Save to apply your changes.

  18. You can also manage custom fields from the Profiles page.

  19. Salesforce Profiles are automatically imported into the Admin Console, making it easy to manage permissions.

  20. Click the Edit icon to adjust field visibility and editing permissions.

  21. Use the Manage Profile page to control which fields users can access. You can also add more fields using the Add Additional Fields modal.

  22. Choose the object to view its list of fields and update visibility options.

  23. Check the box for Always Visible if you want the field to be visible for this profile.

  24. Check the box for Editable to allow users to make changes.

  25. Check the box for Required to make the field mandatory.

  26. Click Save to finalize your settings.

  27. Click the plus icon to open the Add Additional Fields modal.

  28. In the modal, search for Salesforce fields and configure their visibility and edit permissions for the selected profile. Note that editable access depends on Salesforce field-level permissions.

  29. Click Save to add the selected field to the RingDNA Communication Hub.
